SharePoint Project Manager

The ideal Candidate will be a proven and exceptional leader with a track record of delivering results. The successful Candidate must be an organized, versatile, accomplished, and creative thinker who is innovative and capable of building and leading an evolving development team. The Project Manager will have excellent leadership, strategic and software development acumen coupled with strong interpersonal skills. The Candidate will have 3 + years of IT project/team management experience with increasing levels of responsibility within a technology company.

In addition, the ideal person will have management experience and will ensure effectiveness of the growth and management of the development team through appropriate resourcing, scheduling, training and development, prioritization, and contingency planning. (S)He will play the key leadership role in developing and implementing strategies to help increase the company’s revenues and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, strong leadership, and strategic development and project management skills. S(He) will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization and effectively interface with external partners and clients.

Key Tasks and Attributes

  • Provide strategic guidance, develop roadmap and drive execution of SharePoint 2010 Platform.
  • Lead and grow a SharePoint development team well versed in building enterprise level solutions.
  • Define, own, plan and scope of IT Infrastructure and application development projects.
  • Be a project champion within the company and with external partners and clients
  • Monitor and control projects, manage issues, dependences, risks, time lines and budgets.
  • IT / Computer Science Qualification
  • 3+ Years IT project management experience in an IT Operations, or infrastructure environment.
  • Extensive Knowledge of the SharePoint platform from both architect and developers
    perspectives with at least 3+ years .NET experience.
  • Excellent communication skills − ability to provide valuable information related to the project status in a timely and effective manner;
  • Team building − provide leadership, mentoring and more
  • Listening skills − using good listening skills to understand project goals, requirements &
    integrate key stakeholders opinions;

    • Advantages:

  • 3yrs+ IT project/team management experience
  • Recognized SharePoint skills.
  • Experience with designing and implementation of document management and collaboration solutions based on MOSS or WSS highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint 2010 a significant advantage.
  • Experience with Opentext Content Server would be an advantage.
