Testing Services
KineMatik’s stringent
test processes and procedures help to ensure that the final eNovator deployment
not only matches the original criteria but also exceeds the expectations of its
users.
System Configuration and Optimization
Before installing
eNovator, KineMatik consultants will typically prepare a detailed review of the
technical environment into which the system is being deployed. This will then
guide the installation of the eNovator server in a development, a test and a
production environment and ensure that the overall performance of the system is
optimized for the client’s particular infrastructure. Once installed, the
system is configured according to the original requirements that have been
documented during the requirements analysis phase.
Testing
Once installed and
properly configured, a rigorous test campaign is executed according to the test
plan developed during the Pre-Implementation phase. This test plan details
individual test cases that have been designed to ensure that the configured
system matches the original requirements. Unit, integration and system testing
are typically conducted during this phase to ensure that system has been fully
exercised. The testing phase usually ends with user acceptance testing. This
type of testing is designed to ensure that the system under test matches the
users needs and provides confidence in its use. Typically a subsection of the
overall end user population is selected for user acceptance testing and is
guided by the original test plan in what to test and what exactly ‘Acceptance’
means. The final aspect of testing may well include a ‘parallel run’ to prove
the new system against the current system.
