Template Friendly
eNovator’s ELN supports the use of Standard Experimental Templates or Free Form for experimental recording. The Templates are designed by the Administrator, named based on the type of experimentation being carried out and made available to the user population. These Templates are easily configured and can be designed to exactly match the current paper based recording templates currently used within the organization. The Templates contain not only scientific sections or folders but also embedded Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), files, documents, forms or other scientific information relevant to the experiment being carried out. |
Drag and Drop Functionality
eNovator’s ELN utilizes drag and drop functionality in two ways. Firstly, to add multiple file from numerous sources (network, desktop, software and hardware applications) directly into their eNovator ELN, thus increasing the speed at which data and information can be added to the experiment. Secondly, to rearrange the structure / order of the experimental layout within the eNovator ELN, making it easier for the scientist to ensure the content reflects the scientific approach used. |

Automatic Numbering of Experiments
The system allows organizations to configure an Automatic Numbering Schemes (ANS) for experiments. This numbering scheme can include text, the user login name, login ID, date information and an incremental numerical sequence. |
Full Integration to Microsoft Office Products
The ELN is fully integrated to all Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This ensures that these files are automatically rendered and can be created and edited from within eNovator’s ELN. |

Supports All Data Formats
The eNovator ELN has been designed to allow any file format to be added to the ELN. This is facilitated by the easy registration of unknown MIME types to the solution at the click of a button. Currently, eNovator’s ELN can recognise and render in excess of 400 file types. |
Integration Capabilities
eNovator’s ELN Open Architecture allows easy integration to all hardware and software applications. The level of integration varies between Light, Medium and Tight depending on the individual clients requirements. One example of a tight integration would be to Chemaxon’s complete suite of JChem Scientific Products. A full list of completed integrations are available upon request. |

Integration to External Databases
The comprehensive integration capabilities of eNovator’s ELN allow integration to both external databases and or / web applications directly. This allows direct access and the transfer of data, files and information from these external sources directly into eNovator’s ELN.

Resource Management and Sample Tracking
The eNovator ELN has complete Resource Management and Sample Tracking capabilities through the use of the Scientific Laboratories function within eNovator. The resources used can be directly linked to the experimentation in the ELN and hence complete / updated inventory is maintained with full traceability. |

Plate Handling Design
The eNovator ELN has complete plate handling design capabilities. The interactive GUI allows samples and resources from the Laboratories within eNovator’s ELN to be directly put into the plates, well by well. This can also be automated through the use of bar coding or RFID technology, both of which have been implemented for previous customers. |
Powerful Searching Capabilities
eNovator contains a very powerful Search Engine that allows the user to search using Free Form Text, Categories and Attributes, Natural Language Query, MIME Type, Object Type or through a combination. The user can configure specific search templates that they use routinely in their day-to-day work. |

Seamlessly integrated with Open Text Livelink ECM
eNovator’s ELN is seamlessly integrated with the Livelink ECM platform. Organizations that already have the Livelink platform can leverage this investment to add further functionality to increase their R&D capabilities. Organizations that have not made the investment in a Document Management System can get this as an added benefit and capability through the addition of eNovator . The eNovator ELN is designed to be fully 21 CFR Part 11 compliant and all data and information is versioned and audit controlled. |

Automatic Electronic Laboratory Notebook Report Generation
eNovator’s ELN provides scientists with the capability of automatically generating a report of their experiment at any time, and in a format that meets the clients individual needs. The experimental report can be generated in PDF, HTML, or XML at the click of a button, and contains all the data, information and knowledge created and added during the experiment. This ensures that all data and knowledge generated is completely protected from an IP perspective. The eNovator ELN also has the capability of generating partial or full content interim experimental reports for review, communication and update purposes. |
Electronic Signing with Optional Integration to Surety’s Digital Notarization
The eNovator ELN has automated and flexible workflow capability that allows for the e-signing of the generated experimental report. The flexibility allows the workflow to be configured to meet each individual clients requirements from a signing and archiving perspective so as to meet FDA regulations. There is also the additional option of using Digital Notarization with the experimental report through Surety’s AbsoluteProof solution, with which eNovator’s ELN is completed integrated. This provides irrefutable protection from an IP perspective. |
